Residential Treatment Programs for Offenders with Mental Illness and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

Colorado Department of Corrections, Administrative Regulation, Offender Group Living. 650-04, “Residential Treatment Programs for Offenders with Mental Illness and Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities,” effective June 15, 2016.

“It is the policy of the Colorado Department of Corrections (DOC) to offer specialized programs to offenders with mental illness and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities. These programs utilize a planned incentive level system to promote pro-social behavior and treatment progress while meeting behavioral goals. This is to prepare offenders for successful community transition while ensuring the safety of employees and offenders.”
