2013 California Senate Bill 061.
This bill would prohibit juveniles from being placed in solitary confinement, unless they pose an immediate risk to the well-being of others. The juvenile’s mental and physical health must not be compromised because of solitary confinement. This bill would require the use of solitary confinement to be documented. The bill did not pass.
